England vs Australia Live Score, Ashes 2023 – The Times of India

Australia batted for almost double the overs and took a lead of 12 runs in the process. We saw two different approaches from the two sides and both were entertaining to watch. After a decent enough start by the openers, the visitors couldn’t really get going. Usman Khawaja looked to be struggling out in the middle as he faced 157 deliveries to get to 47 before losing his wicket soon after Lunch. Barring Steven Smith, no one looked comfortable out there and the positive intent was missing too. Smith was the top scorer with 71 runs as their middle order couldn’t really contribute much. It was the 54-run partnership between Smith and Pat Cummins that got them out of a troublesome situation or they could have surrendered a big lead. In the end, a few lusty blows from Todd Murphy who scored 34 in 39 deliveries helped the Aussies go past the English total.
