An upgraded Audi Q4 e-tron was revealed in Germany, boasting a freshly tuned suspension, powertrain revisions, and additional standard equipment. The changes were announced for the European model. And although the Q4 e-tron crossover that has been on sale in the U.S. since 2022, reports suggest these changes won’t arrive in the U.S. until the 2025 model year for both the SUV and Sportback models.

The revised Audi Q4 45 e-tron is rated at 282 horsepower, up from 201 hp, and runs 0-62 mph in 6.7 seconds with rear-wheel drive, 6.6 seconds with all-wheel drive. Opt for the Audi Q4 55 e-tron quattro and you’ll get 340 horsepower, up from 295 hp, along with a 5.4-second 0-62-mph run. Top speed for all models is 112 mph. Range is WLTP-rated at up to 349 miles, although EPA ratings will be lower.

While EVs don’t have much of a sound when moving, Audi will offer an optional digitally-generated “character sound” that differentiates it from other electric Audis, one that will be audible below 16 mph.

Once the electrons are depleted, Audi states the Q4 e-tron’s net 77-kWh battery pack can recharge from 10 to 80 percent in around 28 minutes, and has a maximum DC charging power of 175 kW on Quattro models, and 135 kW on rear-wheel-drive models. Batteries charge to 80 percent to extend their longevity, while battery post-conditioning cools the battery if it exceeds a fixed temperature.

Audi claims to have tightened the steering, tuned the suspension for improved stability and revised the damping. As you’d expect, choosing the sport suspension lowers the body is 15 millimeters (0.59 inch).

Interior

As before, the Audi Q4 e-tron if fitted with adaptive cruise assist, but it now features assisted lane changing when driving above 56 mph. The system displays white arrows in the instrument panel and in the head-up display to indicate when it’s safe to change lanes. Then, the driver taps the turn signal lever to switch lanes, which the car executes. The lane change is turned off when the turn signal is turned off.

For tech lovers, Audi now makes the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, Audi MMI navigation plus as well as Audi connect Navigation & Infotainment standard. For the terminally frigid, heated seats are now standard as well.

We expect these revisions should hit the U.S. Audi Q4 e-trons as well, with U.S.-market specifications expected to arrive soon.
