Rain has led to a change in the Chicago White Sox schedule.

Monday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks has been rescheduled to Thursday, the team announced Saturday. It will start at 1:10 p.m. at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Major League Baseball made the switch to accommodate scheduling at the end of the season because of rain along the East Coast, which led to the postponement Saturday of the Diamondbacks’ game against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

The Sox will be offering $1 tickets to the rescheduled game as well as free parking. Parking lots and gates will open at noon.

Season ticket holders, premium seating ticket holders, individual suite holders and patio ticket holders with tickets for Monday’s game will receive a credit to their accounts and free tickets for Thursday’s game. The Sox said premium seating ticket holders should contact the team’s premium seating department regarding the rescheduled game.

  • The White Sox edged the Red Sox 1-0 on a rainy afternoon behind a solo home run by Luis Robert Jr. in the top of the ninth inning. Robert’s homer came with two outs and was just fair down the right-field line. Dylan Cease had one of his best outings of the season, allowing six hits while striking out 11 in seven innings.
