The Ambani family possesses one of the largest private collections of cars in the country. They use expensive luxury cars for traveling from one place to another. In addition to cars, they also own private helicopters. In the past, we have seen some of these cars from their garage on the road. However, there are still many rare cars that we do not see on the road. Pictures of one such car have now surfaced online. This is actually not a car used by Mukesh Ambani but by his father, Dhirubhai Ambani. It is a 2001 model Mercedes-Benz S-Class limousine.

The rare pictures of this car have been shared by Car Crazy India on their Instagram page. According to the post, this is a 2001 model W220 S-Class luxury sedan. Specifically, it is an S600 Pullman that Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani had bought. The pictures that have surfaced online show what the interior and exterior of the car currently look like. The car is easily 22 years old, and it still looks in great shape.

The car is finished in all-white shade and features front parking sensors on the bumper. The exact dimensions of the S600 Pullman are not mentioned in the post. However, it is clear from the picture that this is much longer than the regular sedan. The S600 Pullman limousine does have a longer wheelbase (1 meter more than the regular version), but other than this, everything else about the car looks the same as a regular W220. The main reason to buy this car is for comfort. It offers an extremely spacious cabin, and for a car bought in 2001, the S600 comes with a decent number of features too.

As this was a limousine, it could accommodate 6 people, including the driver. The rear cabin was completely redesigned for this purpose. The passengers at the rear have ice grey-colored leather upholstery on the seats. The rear has seats for 4 passengers in a face-to-face configuration. All these seats are electrically adjustable and come with a memory function. This must have been used for business meetings on the move. We can also see dedicated AC vents along with a music player. The floor mat in this car also looks premium compared to a regular version.

The driver gets a 4-spoke steering wheel with wooden inserts on the dashboard and steering wheel. There is a company-fitted infotainment system too. It is not clear whether there is a partition between the driver and passenger cabin at the back or not. If yes, then the driver’s cabin should also have an intercom feature to communicate. The Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman was introduced in 2001 and was powered by a 6.0-liter V12 M137 engine. This engine generated 367 PS and 530 Nm of peak torque.

While Dhirubhai Ambani did have this limousine in his garage, he was usually spotted in a BMW 759i XL L7, a stretched limousine. This particular car was custom-made by BMW for the South East Asian, European, and Middle Eastern markets, with the “XL” denoting its extended length. The 759i XL L7 is powered by a 5.4-liter V12 petrol engine, delivering a remarkable 322 Bhp of power and 490 Nm of torque.
