Anita Rani looks in good spirits as she’s seen for the first time since reportedly splitting from her husband of 14 years.

The Countryfile presenter, 45, and her husband Bhupi Rehal were said to have split at the beginning of this month.

A source claimed the couple grew apart due to hectic schedules.

Now, the Strictly Come Dancing star has been spotted out and about for the first time since the news.

Clutching a Pret a Manger bag, the presenter beamed in London wearing a khaki coat, stripy shirt, and button-up high-waisted jeans.

‘It’s really sad but they’ve decided to separate,’ a source claimed.

‘Their hectic schedules over the past couple of years have sadly meant they’ve drifted apart over time.’

The source added to The Mirror: ‘They remain on very good terms and wish nothing but the best for one another.’

The TV star and tech company owner met at an East London rave in 2008 and were said to have bonded over their love of music.

The pair married in Bradford back in 2009, and Anita previously reflected how she felt on the day.

While she asked how brides were supposed to feel on their wedding day – perhaps ‘butterflies’ – Anita described how she was ‘freaking out.’

‘I’m looking out across the scene in front of me, serene, calm, quiet, and I am anything but. This was not how I’d planned life to be,’ she said.

The pair never had children, and Anita previously opened up about a devastating miscarriage she suffered in December 2018.

At the time she wrote: ‘I was sad. Deeply, truly and cripplingly sad.

‘The response was immense. I think people just want connection and to talk with honesty about things that are real, especially women.’

Back in 2021, Anita opened up to You magazine further, when she said: ‘People stopped asking me, which I’m happy about because it’s really difficult to talk about children

‘No one knows more about what’s happening with my body than me.’

She continued: ‘So when people are like, ‘Ooh, you’re getting old!” I’m like, ‘Really? I have noticed!’ Also, I just don’t know…”.’

‘Whatever happens in my life happens in my life. And I’m all right with that.’
