Lucid releases Air Pure RWD with lower starting price – The Torque Report

[ad_1]

Lucid has announced the Lucid Air Pure RWD, bringing Lucid’s exceptional range to even more customers with its lower price.

Ringing in at $77,400 (excluding destination fee), the new Lucid Air Pure RWD offers the same 410-mile range as the Pure AWD version.

The Lucid Air Pure RWD retains the sleek, minimal exterior (the most aerodynamic of any car currently in production) and luxurious Midcentury Modern-inspired interior design of the other Air trims. The Lucid Air Pure RWD is also capable of adding up to 150 miles of range in less than 12 minutes when connected to a DC fast charger.

Power is reduced when compared to the the Lucid Air Pure AWD, down 50-hp from the Pure AWD’s 480-hp to 430-hp. Likewise, the Lucid Air Pure RWD’s 0-60 mph time is down .7 seconds from the Pure AWD, going from 3.8 to 4.5 seconds, still very impressive numbers for a large luxury sedan.

The Lucid Air Pure RWD comes well equipped with Lucid’s Glass Cockpit display, heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, Lucid’s DreamDrive advanced driver assistance systems, and Apple CarPlay. Somewhat oddly, the Lucid Air RWD can be ordered with an upgraded leather interior for $3,000, an option that, as of this writing, is not available on the more expensive Pure AWD.

Lucid says the Lucid Air lineup is now complete and consists of Pure RWD, Pure AWD, Air Touring, Air Grand Touring, and Air Sapphire.

To make the deal even sweeter, the Lucid Air Pure RWD is available for immediate delivery.
