The Japanese bike maker Yamaha is known across the globe for some of the most impressive two-wheelers. One of its most unique products that it currently sells in international markets is the Yamaha T-Max 560 maxi scooter. It is one of the largest scooters on sale, and recently, for the first time, it was spotted testing in India. Currently, the company does not sell it in India and has brought this vehicle for testing. The picture of the Yamaha T-Max 560 testing was recently shared online.

The picture has been shared with a caption, “For the first time, the @yamahamotorindia T Max has been spotted on Indian roads. Good news for enthusiasts? #YamahaTMax”. The picture shows a man wearing a full riding suit on the maxi scooter at a toll gate. The Yamaha T-Max 560 maxi scooter in the picture is finished in a matte deep blue shade.
Is Yamaha planning to launch T-Max 560 in India?
At the moment, it is unclear if Yamaha is planning to launch this scooter in India or not. A user on the post sharing the picture stated that it looks like it has been privately imported. However, it was then replied by the sharer of the image that the scooter was wearing red number plates. For those who are unaware, red number plates in India with white lettering on them refer to test vehicles. These are vehicles that have been registered by the manufacturers and are being tested by them in actual Indian road conditions.

Yamaha T-Max 560 Maxi scooter
As mentioned, the Yamaha T-Max 560 maxi scooter is one of the most unique products that the company sells. This model is currently not available for sale in India. This scooter features a very aggressive appearance and gets a twin LED headlights setup with a pointy front end. It gets a large front windshield, and it also gets a large air dam to cool its massive 560cc engine. Talking about the engine of the Yamaha T-Max 560 maxi scooter, it comes equipped with a 560cc parallel-twin water-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve engine. This engine is capable of producing an impressive 47 bhp of power and 56 Nm of torque.
Suspension duties on this maxi scooter are performed by a 41 mm USD fork suspension at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear. It also gets dual front disc brakes measuring in at 262 mm and a single disc in the rear which measures in at 282 mm. It also comes equipped with ABS. The scooter also gets a traction control system. To display all the vehicle details, it gets a 7-inch full TFT display screen along with an analogue meter.
Variants and Pricing
In the international markets, the Yamaha T-Max 560 maxi scooter comes available in two variants. The first is Standard, and the second is Tech Max. The Tech Max variant gets additional features like cruise control, an electronically adjustable front windscreen, and a heated hand grip and seat. As for the pricing of this scooter, the standard variant in Japan is priced at JPY 11,60,000, which translates to around Rs 8.08 lakh. Meanwhile, the color offered is only a single shade of Matte Blueish Grey Metallic color. While the Yamaha T-Max 560 Tech Max is priced at JPY 1290,000, which is equal to around Rs 8.99 lakh. This variant comes offered in two color options – Matte Greenish Grey and Matte Dark Grey.
