One shot in police shooting in Castle Rock after pursuit that started in Thornton

One person has been shot in an early morning police shooting in Castle Rock, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened near Plum Creek Parkway and Perry Street, the Sheriff’s Office reported at 6:24 a.m. on X.

Officers shot a person after a pursuit that began in Thornton; another person is in custody. It’s unclear who shot the suspect, but the Sheriff’s Office said several of their deputies were involved.
The sheriff’s office did not say what the two people are suspected of doing.
The person police shot was taken to a hospital.
None of the deputies were injured.
