Kaiser Permanente reaches tentative contract with unions

Kaiser Permanente has reached a tentative contract with health care workers, according to a statement Friday from the Service Employees International Union.
Kaiser and its unions had been at odds for months over pay, outsourcing protections, and staffing issues. More than 75,000 Kaiser Permanente workers walked off the job last week, staging what labor organizers billed as the largest health-care worker strike in U.S. history. Tentative labor agreements typically have to be ratified by workers before they can be finalized.
