Tata Motors recently unveiled the facelifted iteration of its flagship SUV, the Safari facelift, in India. This newly unveiled model features a complete overhaul of the exterior and interior and has piqued the interest of a ton of buyers. Recently, Tata Motors also invited media representatives to drive and view this SUV in person, and so far, it seems to have impressed a ton of people. Now, showing the actual road presence of this new SUV, a video of the new Safari being driven on Indian roads has been shared online.
Safari Facelift’s Road Presence
The video of the actual road presence of the Tata Safari facelift has been shared on YouTube by Prateek Singh on their channel. The video starts off with the creator talking about the unveil of the new vehicle. He gives his opinion on the design and features of the new facelifted Safari. Later in the video, he mentions and shows a small video clip of the all-new Safari facelift driving on the road, showcasing its impressive road presence.

In the video, it can be noted that the Safari is being driven right next to the Toyota Innova Crysta MPV. The Innova itself is not a small vehicle, but the Safari next to it looks even larger. The overall road presence of the new Safari facelift in its new color of Cosmic Gold feels extremely bold and muscular with the beautiful background of trees and mountains in the video. Adding to the overall presence are also the newly offered 19-inch alloy wheels, which are the biggest of any Indian car from the factory. According to the creator, the Safari was either being driven by a journalist or was a part of a TVC shoot.
2023 Tata Safari Facelift
The updated Tata Safari facelift, just like the previous model, will take the top spot in the Tata Motors lineup in India. The launch date for the new Safari facelift and its younger sibling, the Harrier, has been announced. The company will be launching both of these new facelifted models on October 17. Most likely, the company will be launching the new Safari and Harrier facelift with a premium due to all the added features and updates.
Talking about updates, the Safari facelift comes with a ton of segment-first features. Some of these include welcome and goodbye animation with its newly designed connected LED DRL on the front and connected LED taillights in the rear. It will also get 10 JBL speakers, massive 19-inch spider design diamond-cut alloy wheels, 2nd-row ventilated seats, a 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster.
Additionally, the new Safari facelift will also come equipped with touch-based HVAC controls with dual climate control zones, a bejeweled rotary dial for terrain mode selection, a 45W fast USB charger, and a new four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. The car will also get 7 airbags on the top-spec variant, along with ADAS, including the newly introduced adaptive cruise control feature and 10 others.
Engine and Transmission
As for the powertrain side of things, the new Safari facelift will get the same engine as the outgoing model. The SUV will come powered by the same 2.0 Kryotec diesel turbocharged engine. This engine is capable of producing 170 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission choices will also be the same with a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed automatic. The company has stated that the mileage figures have been improved slightly over the previous model.
