King Charles’s sneaky tactic for keeping an eye on Harry and Meghan

King Charles’s relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is reportedly at an all time low, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to know what’s going on in their lives.
Since moving to California, interactions between the three have been few and far between.
It’s believed that Harry and Meghan did not make a pitstop in the UK to visit Charles after their trip to Germany for the Invictus Games and have this week been in New York for Archewell’s first major event to mark World Mental Health Day.
There has been so much distance between the three that it’s reported grandchildren Archie and Lillibet haven’t seen their grandfather in over a year.

Nevertheless, Charles seems keen to stay in the loop with their lives – and it’s been claimed by an American journalist that he is a regular reader of the local Montecito Journal, based in the Californian town where they live, reports our sister paper the Scottish Daily Express.
One of the columnists at the Montecito Journal is former Fleet Street royal correspondent, Richard Mineards. He regularly writes gossip pieces on the couple, using his extensive network of sources.
It was his colleague, Eileen White Read who wrote a letter to the editor saying readers of the Journal are “a group that includes, according to columnist Richard Mineards, England’s King Charles II”.
The comments come as there is no sign of reconciliation between Harry and Meghan and the rest of the Firm after the pair stepped down as senior royals in 2020.
Since then, Harry’s memoir Spare has created more shockwaves and further added to tensions after he revealed intimate details about the family.
The book included comments about Camilla, a fight with William and how Harry lost his virginity in a series of explosive claims.
