[ad_1]
The country’s largest SUV manufacturer, Mahindra Automotive, launched its top-of-the-line XUV700 SUV back in August of 2021. Since then, the company has been selling this SUV like hotcakes. With its increased popularity, its waiting periods also shot up, and despite being out for a few years now, it still has a considerable amount of waiting time. However, to provide relief to its potential customers, recently Mahindra announced that the waiting periods on the XUV700 have gone down a little. Here are the details about the SUV’s new waiting periods for each variant.
Mahindra XUV700 Variant-Wise Waiting Periods
Coming to the variant-specific waiting period details of the Mahindra XUV700, we’ll start with the MX trim, which is the base trim of the XUV700. The MX variant with both petrol and diesel engines has the lowest waiting period of 2 months. On the flip side, the MX(E) trim has a waiting period of around 9 months for both petrol and diesel options. Next up, the AX variant also gets an equally low 2-month waiting period, and this applies to both petrol and diesel models. The AX(E) variant, on the other hand, gets a 9-month waiting period for both petrol and diesel engines.

Next up, the AX5 standard variant gets a 3-month waiting period for both petrol and diesel options. Just like the optional variants of the MX and AX3 variants, the AX5(E) optional variant also gets a 9-month waiting period for petrol and diesel engines. Lastly, the top-of-the-line AX7 variant gets a 5-month waiting period, and AX7L gets a 6-month waiting period for both petrol and diesel engine options. It is to be noted that these waiting periods can also differ depending upon the city and state.
Mahindra XUV700 Sales
The Mahindra XUV700 is, hands down, one of the most successful SUVs ever launched by the company. In May of this year, the company managed to cross the 1 lakh unit sales milestone. Last month, in September, Mahindra managed to dispatch a total of 8,555 units of this popular SUV. Prior to that, in August, it also managed to post a respectable sales figure of 6,512 units. Now with these waiting periods going down a little, it is likely that this SUV will witness a bump in the sales figures.
Mahindra XUV700
Currently, the XUV700 is the most technologically advanced SUV that Mahindra Automotive sells in India. The company offers the Mahindra XUV700 with engine options, including a diesel and a petrol engine. The diesel engine is a 2.2-liter mHawk unit, while the petrol engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. In terms of power, the petrol engine beneath the XUV700’s bonnet delivers a maximum of 200 PS of power and 380 Nm of peak torque. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Additionally, the diesel engine comes available in two different tunes. In the MX Trim, the engine generates 155 PS of power and 360 Nm of peak torque. It is exclusively available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, in the higher-end AX Trim, the power output is 185 PS, and the torque output is 420 Nm with the 6-speed manual gearbox and 450 Nm with the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Mahindra XUV700 ADAS
Mahindra also offers the XUV700 with an all-wheel-drive system, available only on the top-end AX7 variant. This system is exclusively paired with the diesel engine and automatic transmission. For those unaware, this AWD system isn’t a full-fledged 4×4 system like the one Mahindra offers on the Thar. Additionally, the XUV700 comes equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), including features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Keep Assist, Auto Headlamp Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
