New Tata Safari reaches dealerships ahead of customer deliveries [Video]

Earlier today, Tata Motors launched the all-new Harrier and Safari facelifts in India. The company has launched the Harrier with a starting price of Rs 15.49 lakh and the Safari facelift at Rs 16.19 lakh. Following the launch, these SUVs have started arriving at dealerships across the country. Recently, a video of the Safari facelift being unloaded in front of a Tata dealership has been shared online. This video suggests that deliveries will commence soon.
Tata Safari Facelift Arriving at Dealerships
The video of the new 2023 Tata Safari facelift arriving at a dealership comes courtesy of MRD Vlogs. The short video uploaded to their channel starts with a rear-end view of the new Safari facelift. This flagship SUV from Tata Motors was being unloaded from a trailer, which also had a few more Safaris for the dealership. The SUV was seen getting rolled out of the trailer. The presenter then asks the unloader at the gate of the trailer if it’s the new one. To this, he confirms that it indeed is.

Soon after, he shows the right-side profile of the new Tata Safari facelift. He states that the new 19-inch alloy wheels look very impressive in real life. Then after showing the profile, the presenter moves to the front of the SUV. He mentions that the SUV at the front gets a brand-new grille which in this white-colored variant is finished in silver color. He added that in the golden-colored variant, it looks a bit tacky. He also shows the new connected LED DRLs, and the newly added Safari badge on the doors and the 360-degree camera on the ORVMs.
Interior Updates
Following the exterior of the new Safari facelift, he adds that the interior of the new Safari facelift feels very premium. He shows the ventilated front seats, the new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman, and also the newly added touch-based HVAC controls. Additionally, he shows the new four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with the new illuminated Tata logo in the middle.
After showing a glimpse of the interior, the presenter mentions an important note. He adds that this is just a small video shot on the road as the vehicle was being unloaded. He further states that once the vehicle arrives at Tata dealerships, he will be sharing a video with an in-depth look at the newly launched Tata Safari facelift.
2023 Tata Safari Facelift
Apart from the above-mentioned features, the new Safari facelift will come with the coveted ADAS features. It will include features such as adaptive cruise control with stop & go function (AT only), autonomous emergency braking, including pedestrian & cycle detection, forward collision warning, rear collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, door open alert, lane departure warning, lane change alert, and high beam assist.
As for the powertrain side of things, the new Safari facelift will get the same engine as the outgoing model. The SUV will be powered by the same 2.0 Kryotec diesel turbocharged engine, capable of producing 170 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission choices will also remain the same with a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed automatic. The company has stated that the mileage figures have been slightly improved over the previous model.
