3 people attacked by machete-wielding teens in Portage la Prairie | CBC News

A man and two teen boys were injured in a series of machete attacks on Sunday afternoon in Portage la Prairie, Man.
RCMP were first called at 4:50 p.m. about an assault in the alley outside of a residence on 1st Street Southwest. A 21-year-old man was found with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and transported to hospital, Mounties said in a news release on Wednesday.
While police were responding, they received another call about a 15-year-old boy attacked by two teens while walking home in the downtown area.
The attackers, both armed with machetes, attempted to rob the boy and then assaulted him, RCMP said. The boy was sent to hospital and as police were investigating the incident, yet another call came in of a machete attack in the downtown.
That victim, a 14-year-old boy, showed up at the hospital and police were contacted.
The 15-year-old and 14-year-old have since been released from hospital
A 13-year-old boy and 14-year-old boy have been arrested in the attacks.
The 13-year-old is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and robbery. The 14-year-old is charged with the same as well as failure to comply with a probation order.
