Teen boy identified as victim killed in East Denver shooting

A 17-year-old boy was identified as the victim in an Oct. 12 shooting in East Denver.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting near East Fifth Avenue and Dallas Street in the Lowry Park neighborhood at 4:07 p.m., Denver police said, where a teenage boy was found dead.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner in a Thursday news release identified the boy as Angello Reyes.
The Medical Examiner’s office originally responded to Angello’s death in the 400 block of Elmira Street in Aurora, but police later determined he died several blocks away in Denver city limits.
Police had not arrested anyone as of Oct. 12 and working to develop suspect information, according to a post from the police department on the social media site X.
The shooting is believed to be an isolated incident, according to police.
