Ferrari has taken the wraps off its latest one-off project. It’s called the Ferrari SP-8.

The SP-8 has been created by the Ferrari Styling Centre for a special client based in Taiwan, who wanted a 2-seater open-top supercar. This roofless one-off is based on the F8 Spider but features a completely new exterior design. The car will be presented during the annual Finali Mondiali event and will be later showcased at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.

The most unique feature of the Ferrari SP-8 is the fact that it has no roof. This helps create an open-top cockpit with a wraparound design. The car is finished in a dual-tone theme with unpainted carbon fibre on the front, which wraps around the tail section. The entire rear section has been redesigned and now features sleeker-looking quad taillights and an integrated spoiler.

At the front, the SP-8 features a full-width, cast aluminium grille made from a single, 3D-printed mould. The headlights have also been reworked and now feature special masks and lenses. The SP-8 rides on specially designed wheel rims finished in matte Grigio NART.

While the interior of the SP-8 might look similar to the donor car, the F8 Spider, Ferrari has integrated the gated drive selector from the SF90 Stradale.

The SP-8 is likely to be powered by the same 3.9-liter, twin-turbo V8 as the F8 Spider. This engine churns out 711 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque and is mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to the rear axle. Ferrari claims that the stock F8 Spider can sprint from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 211 mph.
