NEW DELHI: The Indian cricket team on Wednesday reached Lucknow for their next clash in the ongoing ODI World Cup against defending champions England.
Rohit Sharma and co. will take on the 2019 champions at the Ekana Stadium on October 29.
India have won all of their five matches in the World Cup so far and will look to extend their winning streak against an under-pressure Jos Buttler and co.
India currently hold the top spot in the tournament standings with 10 points and have a net run rate of +1.353.
England on the other hand, sit at the 8th spot with a solitary win and three losses in 4 matches.

Upon their arrival, the Indian team was greeted by hundreds of fans at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya was a notable absentee as he is currently at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for injury management.

“Hardik is still under medication. While the swelling on his left ankle has subsided considerably, he will start bowling only towards the weekend. Right now, important is to give him time to recover,” an NCA source told PTI.
Hardik is likely to miss the next two India matches against England and Sri Lanka.
