Front-end differences
The video of the new Harrier facelift compared with the old Harrier has been shared on YouTube by Classic Gears on their channel. The vlogger commences the comparison video at the front of the two SUVs. On the other hand, the new Harrier facelift gets a brand new connected LED DRL on top and a new all-LED headlamp setup. The high beam and the low beam are now integrated into one LED unit. The fog lamps, as well, are now LEDs. Apart from these differences, the grilles of both the SUVs are very distinct, states the vlogger. He mentions that the old car received hexagonal patterns on the grille; however, the new one gets small rectangular elements. Both cars in the video, being the Dark Editions, featured a full gloss black front fascia.
Side profile differences
Following the front end, the presenter highlights the disparities between the engine bay and side profile. He mentions that the engine in both SUVs is the same, and there is no difference. He adds that the only distinction he can note is in the weight of the bonnets of the two cars, with the new facelift model being the heavier of the two.
After this, the presenter shows the differences between the two Dark Edition models. He mentions that the major difference is in the alloy wheels of the two models. The new facelift model gets a 19-inch aero blade-style alloy wheel set. Meanwhile, the old model comes with an 18-inch alloy wheel setup. He adds that the new tires are also slightly wider. Lastly, the new Harrier facelift gets Harrier badging on the front two doors, which the old one did not get.
Interior differences
The vlogger then delves into the interior disparities between the two Dark Edition Harriers. He first takes a seat inside the old Harrier Dark Edition and mentions that the last Harrier Dark Edition was updated with the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument gauge cluster. However, the old one feels a little outdated now, despite being equipped with a ton of features.
Soon after this, he moves to the interior of the new Harrier facelift Dark Edition. Just after stepping in, the vlogger states that the new interior feels a lot more futuristic, and its new features are an added bonus. He showcases the newly introduced 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman and the fully digital 10.25-inch instrument gauge cluster. He also presents the new touch-based HVAC controls and newly designed rotary dial for the drive mode selector. Apart from this, he also highlights the addition of new ambient lighting.
Rear-end differences
Lastly, he shows the differences in the rear end between the two models. He mentions that the new car gets a connected rear LED taillight setup. Meanwhile, the old model comes with a much more conventional-looking setup. The new taillights also have a new Z-shaped design, which looks more aggressive, adds the vlogger. Lastly, he mentions that the new model gets a fully redesigned rear bumper as well, which comes equipped with gloss black skid plates, adding to the sinister appearance of the Dark Edition.
