The high-performance Toyota Supra GRMN was recently spotted testing at the Nurburgring. The latest reports suggest that it could get BMW’s potent S58 engine from the M2.

According to the report, the Supra GRMN could be offered with a 6-cylinder B58 engine, which puts out 330 hp and 369 lb-ft, or if we’re lucky, BMW might agree to lend the S58 twin-turbo 6-banger from the M2.

In the standard M2, the S58 engine develops 448 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. In a higher state of tune, the same powerplant generates 544 hp and 405 lb-ft. This engine is available in the BMW 3.0 CSL.

Apart from a more potent engine, the Supra GRMN is also expected to get several upgrades on the chassis side. The car could get stiffer suspension with bigger wheels and brakes all around and a more aggressive aerodynamic package.
