Never iron your bedding again with this easy and free hack to banish wrinkles
[ad_1]
If you hate ironing but love the look of a hotel-finished wrinkle-free bed, then this trick is for you.
Some of us have been slogging away, ironing out the crinkles in our comforter in an effort to make it look neat and tidy on our beds.
But we don’t need to bother with all that, according to this TikToker.
Emily Grace Thomson claims the first step is to get the comforter out of the dryer straight after it’s been washed and dried.
Then, with her sheet covered in creases, Emily employs a useful little hack, using a bottle of water to lightly spray the bedding.
After spraying, she then uses her hands to smooth out the wrinkles, which takes her all of two minutes.
And voila – that’s all there is to Emily’s trick.
In her video, Emily demonstrates on her spare bed, saying: ‘Who else hates ironing?’.
She tells followers: ‘Get a spray bottle of water and spray all over. This took me under two minutes per bed.’
Emily explains that the method doesn’t just work on comforters but can be used on duvets, sheets, pillowcases, and any other soft furnishings.
You can also go one step further too, as she explained: ‘If you like your bedding to smell good you can add fabric softener or laundry beads to the spray bottle and it gives the linen a nice scent.’
Viewers were impressed and vowed to try it out.
One person wrote ‘trying this right now!’ meanwhile another said: ‘Wow, have to try this on my linen cover.’
If you do use fabric softener in your magic crease-releasing spray, it’s worth bearing in mind that it can build up on the material and either reduce its quality over time or, if not diluted enough, become a fire hazard.
Some people also swear by adding a few drops of clear alcohol to their spray bottle of water, and you can buy purpose-made products to straighten out your sheets.
But good old H2O should do the trick by itself, and won’t cost you a penny.
