ErreErre Fuoriserie has unveiled its new retro-inspired bodykit for the Alfa Romeo Giulia that was first previewed as a concept in mid-2022. The finished kit has received plenty of changes and based on the comments online, is just as controversial.

Most would agree that the Giulia is a lovely sedan to look at. Sure, its design may not be perfect, but it’s certainly a lot sexier than some designs of Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and especially BMW. Despite this, ErreErre Fuoriserie thought it would try and make the Giulia look more similar to the original launched 61 years ago.

Almost every single body panel of the Giulia has been changed by the design house. Things kick off at the front end where there are four circular LED headlights. ErreErre Fuoriserie has also crafted a sleek new silver grille for the sedan and also changed the shape of the lower air intakes. A new hood is also present and when looking at the car from the front, it’s quite nice. The same cannot be said about the three-quarter profile.

A look at the sides reveals the Alfa Romeo now has flared front wheel arches that look a little too dramatic and unrefined. There is also a sharp new shoulder line running from the front of the hood, across the doors, and through to the tailgate that also looks too over-the-top. ErreErre Fuoriserie has also reskinned the doors, created new rocker panels and skirts, and squared off the rear wheel arches, a design element that was not present in last year’s concept. Things only get worse at the rear.

The shape of the C-pillars has been tweaked, allowing the company to craft two spoilers stretching out from the roof. The tailgate is also all-new and the rear of the car is now almost perfectly vertical with a very boxy shape, a weird decision given that the original Giulia had many more subtle curves. Distinctive taillights also catch the eye. Perhaps the only redeeming feature of the rear end is the diffuser and the two central tailpipes that look excellent.

The interior has also been overhauled and thankfully, it appears to be more tasteful. Key among the changes made include new brown leather on the upper part of the dashboard, the door panels, and the seat bolsters while other areas are clad in light grey Alcantara.

Bilstein suspension has also been fitted and the Giulia’s 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 (now producing 562 hp) is coupled to the rare six-speed manual transmission. ErreErre Fuoriserie plans on building just 33 units of its retro Giulia but has not yet announced pricing.
