The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated forward Patrik Laine off of Injured Reserve, making the Finn available for Saturday’s game against the Red Wings.
Laine, 25, has one goal and one assist in four games this season and has not played since taking a high hit from Calgary’s Rasmus Andersson on Oct. 20. The hit has kept him out of the lineup for three weeks, while Andersson received a four-game suspension for charging.

The Blue Jackets (4-6-3) play in Detroit at 1 p.m. and will be happy to have Laine back. That game can be seen on Sportsnet+.
In order to make room for Laine, the Blue Jackets assigned defenceman David Jiricek to their AHL team.
