If the intersection of Exeter Road and White Oak Road is on your commute, you’ll want to find an alternate route this week.

The intersection will be closed from Nov. 13 to 20 for sewer work as part of an infrastructure improvement project.

Exeter Road will be closed between Breck Avenue and Chalkstone Drive, while White Oak Road will be closed between Dowel Drive and Blakie Road.

A signed detour will be in place on Wharncliffe Road, Wonderland Road, Westminster Drive and Wellington Road.

According to the city, the work during the week-long closure will extend underground infrastructure to better serve the area, improve street lighting, update traffic signals, and expand active transportation with new sidewalks and bike lanes.
