There’s a new kit car on the scene as Lithuania’s Rhino Racing has unveiled their new RR01.
Billed as a “street-legal component car engineered to be raced,” the model cribs from the Porsche Carrera GT and 918 Spyder playbook. However, the RR01 is a fixed roof coupe with gullwing doors.
The company’s website is light on specifics and includes plenty of typos, but it says the entry-level model starts at €25,000 ($26,906 / £21,444) and has an aluminum monocoque chassis as well as a roll cage. Other highlights include a fiberglass body, a fully adjustable double wishbone suspension, three-way adjustable dampers, and a sport steering wheel with an integrated 4.3-inch display.

Buyers looking for something sportier can get an “Option 2” variant, which costs €27,500 ($29,595 / £23,590). It appears to be more track-focused as it has polycarbonate windows and 19-inch wheels wrapped in Toyo tires.
The car is also said to be equipped with an AP Racing brake system that has six-piston calipers front and rear. They’re joined by six-point harnesses and a 7-inch infotainment system.
The powertrain can be bought separately and it costs €37,500 ($40,365 / £32,160). That’s far more than the car, but buyers will get a 5.2-liter V10 sourced from an Audi R8.
Rhino says the engine will be fully rebuilt and have all-new internals. It’s said to be accompanied by a “custom race tested straight cut sequential gearbox,” a motorsport ECU, and a limited slip differential. While specifics are lacking, the car is said to be rear-wheel drive and have 480 hp (358 kW / 487 PS).
The kit car is designed to be assembled by buyers and doesn’t require extensive technical knowledge to build. Assuming everything pans out, all of the components should be ready for delivery in August or September.
