The Football Association of Ireland has met with the Government to outline its concerns about how a cap on passenger numbers at Dublin Airport could affect the staging of a European football final at the Aviva Stadium in May.

David Courell, the FAI’s chief operating officer, and Aidan O’Brien, its major events manager, met just before Christmas with Junior Transport Minister Jack Chambers to discuss what impact the annual cap of 32 million passengers at the airport may have.
