Dublin Airport: Man hospitalised with apparent stab wounds after incident outside Terminal 1

A MAN has been hospitalised with apparent stab wounds following an incident at Dublin Airport earlier today.
Emergency services, including paramedics, gardaí and airport police, were alerted to the public order incident outside Terminal 1 this morning.
One man suffered injuries during the assault and has since been taken to hospital for treatment.
Sources told Independent.ie they are suspected stab wounds which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Another male, aged in his 40s, was arrested in relation to the incident.
He is currently being detained for questioning and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
A garda spokesman said: “Gardaí and emergency services today, Sunday 17th September 2023, attended a public order incident outside Terminal 1 at Dublin Airport, Co. Dublin.
“A male was taken from the scene to hospital to be treated for injuries. A male (40s) has been arrested and detained at a garda station in the north Dublin area.”
A spokesman for daa, which operates and manages Dublin Airport, said: “Airport Police at Dublin Airport responded to an incident outside Terminal 1 this morning. One person has been arrested by the gardaí. Flights at Dublin Airport are operating normally.”
