ACSO: Three arrested on drug and weapon charges

GREEN ISLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Albany County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of two people on drug and weapon charges. Jody Rogalo Jr., 32, of Green Island, and Katelyn Somers, 34, of Green Island, were arrested on Friday.

Charges

Regalo Jr. was charged with the following:

  • Three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Seven counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Four counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia

Somers was charged with the following:

  • Three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Seven counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia

Police say these arrests followed the execution of a search warrant in Green Island. Law enforcement reported finding cocaine, powdered fentanyl, fake oxycodone pills pressed with fentanyl, three illegally possessed loaded firearms, digital scales, nun-chucks, and brass knuckles.

Regalo Jr. and Somers were placed in the Albany Correctional Facility as pre-arraign detainees. They are due to appear in court on Saturday.
