Bollywood actors buying new cars is not a new thing. Expensive cars are actually part of most of their lifestyles, and some of them even update their garages frequently. The priority for most actors when buying an expensive car is comfort. As many of them have busy schedules throughout the year, they spend a lot of time in cars, traveling from one shooting set to another. Indian actress Gauahar Khan is the latest celebrity to buy a new car. She recently bought a brand-new Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV worth Rs 1 crore.

The video of the actress taking delivery of her new SUV was shared by Autohangar – the authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer in Mumbai – and the Glamour Diaries YouTube channel. In this video, Gauahar Khan can be seen walking into the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Mumbai with her husband, Zaid Darbar. They both pose for pictures outside the dealership for a few seconds before simply walking in.

The video then shows Zaid Darbar standing in front of their new car. There’s also a small toy car parked in front of their GLE, probably for their kid. Zaid unveils the bright red-colored toy car first. It’s one of those toys that can seat the kid and can be controlled using a remote control.

After unveiling the toy car, the actress poses with her husband for a few pictures, and then they finally unveil the car. However, the video doesn’t show this moment; it’s seen in the images published by Autohangar. The actor couple has bought a brand-new GLE SUV, specifically the GLE300d LWB version.

The GLE recently received a facelift and was launched in November this year. However, the GLE seen here in the picture looks like the pre-facelift version. The SUV features a chrome-finished front skid plate with a large grille at the front, sporting the Mercedes-Benz logo in the center. The actress has chosen the black shade, which is quite popular among buyers.

Just like any luxury car, the main attraction of the GLE is the cabin itself. As this is the LWB version, there’s more space for rear seat passengers, offering a premium experience. Other than extra space, the SUV comes loaded with features like a twin-screen setup on the dashboard – one for infotainment and the other acting as the instrument cluster. Wooden panel inserts on the dashboard add to the premium look.

The seat covers are leather, and the SUV comes with electrically adjustable seats, a panoramic sunroof, a Burmester sound system, ambient lighting, cruise control, four-zone climate control, AIRMATIC air suspension, and active parking assist. In terms of safety, Mercedes-Benz offers 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera. When it comes to the engine and transmission options, the Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine generating 245 Ps and 500 Nm of peak torque. It’s mated to a 9G-tronic automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels. It competes with cars like the Audi Q7 and BMW X5 in the segment.
