2024 Acura MDX Review: Prices, Specs, and Photos

Acura equips every MDX with a panoramic sunroof, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, wireless charging, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. We award points for standard features, good options, and great warranty, for an 8.
We’re not crazy about the infotainment interface, which relies on a console touchpad. In theory, it’s safer and less distracting than a touchscreen, but not necessarily in practice. The touchpad can be fussy to operate while driving.
The Acura MDX impresses with a 4-year/50,000-mile warranty with two years or 24,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance.
Which Acura MDX should I buy?
Most buyers will do just fine with the base model at $51,045, including the $1,195 destination charge. All-wheel drive adds $2,200.
For $55,745, the MDX with Technology Package adds ambient lighting, leather upholstery, 20-inch wheels, and front and rear parking sensors.
The A-Spec is a good bet for buyers in search of standard AWD, blacked-out trim, and upgraded front seats with heating, cooling, and firmer bolstering. It’s $61,445.
The Advance Package model, $64,995, includes a surround-view camera system, a heated steering wheel, 16-way power-adjustable front seats, heated rear outboard seats, and a head-up display.
How much is a fully loaded Acura MDX?
It’s $69,345 for the Acura MDX Type S, which includes a higher-horsepower engine, an adaptive suspension, Brembo brakes, and unique styling. At that point, why not spend $74,695 for the MDX Type S with Advance Package and get front seats with massage and an ELS stereo with 25 speakers.
