2024 Acura RDX Review: Prices, Specs, and Photos
[ad_1]
What kind of car is the 2024 Acura RDX? What does it compare to?
This Acura is an upscale crossover with edgy styling, five-passenger seating, and a potent turbo-4 powertrain. Competitors include the BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
Is the 2024 Acura RDX a good car?
Yes. We like its performance, spacious cabin, and safety features, but the fussy infotainment is a burden. Offered in base, value-oriented Technology, moderately-equipped A-Spec, and loaded Advance versions, the 2024 Acura RDX racks up a TCC Rating of 6.3 out of 10. (Read more about how we rate cars.)
What’s new for the 2024 Acura RDX?
For 2024, all-wheel drive now comes standard across the RDX lineup.
Every RDX features two years of scheduled maintenance, a three-year subscription to AcuraLink telematics service, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, available wireless charging, active noise cancellation, and selectable drive modes for configurable driving dynamics and comfort.
Every RDX features a turbocharged 4-cylinder rated for 272 hp and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Acura has a clever all-wheel-drive system that dynamically manages power across the rear axle. Handling is crisp, steering response is strong, and the ride is comfortable yet firm, particularly on models with the optional adaptive damping suspension.
The RDX offers seating for five passengers, and the front provides supportive bolsters in A-Spec trim, as well as genuine leather upholstery. Head and leg space are generous in the back, in spite of the raked roof, but those seats should have more support. Cargo capacity is competitive, with about 59 cubic feet available when the second row is folded down.
This Acura is rounded out with good crash test results and a competitive list of active safety tech, though we wish blind-spot monitors were standard and the upgraded surround-view camera system was more accessible.
How much does the 2024 Acura RDX cost?
The base RDX starts at $45,245, which includes a $1,195 destination charge. That’s an increase of about $3,000 over 2023 pricing, but now includes all-wheel drive in addition to leather upholstery, a 10.2-inch trackpad-controlled infotainment display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Where is the 2024 Acura RDX made?
In Ohio.
