AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Fire Department crews fought a large fire overnight in southeast Austin.
AFD said on X at 10:57 p.m. Thursday it was responding to a structure fire in an auto body shop in the 10200 block of FM 812, which is by the intersection of FM 973.
AFD said the fire had extended to a second alarm for additional resources as firefighters responded.
The department said the fire was out shortly before midnight.
One firefighter was transferred to Austin-Travis County EMS for patient care, according to AFD’s posts. Their condition was not made clear.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
