Afghanistan earthquake kills 2,000 people says Taliban

The powerful earthquake in western Afghanistan, which Taliban officials say has killed almost two and a half thousand people.
The magnitude 6.3 quake hit Herat province, near the Iranian border, and was followed by strong aftershocks. Whole villages have been destroyed and people are digging out the dead and injured with their bare hands. Minnie Stephenson reports. You may find some of the images upsetting.
