ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Albany Police Department reported that it is investigating a robbery and shooting that occurred on Saturday at around 4 a.m. Police say they got a report from Albany Medical Center Hospital that a man entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound, which prompted an investigation.
Police say they determined through the investigation that the shooting was in connection to a robbery that happened on the 200 block of First Street between Henry Johnson Boulevard and Lexington Avenue. The victim, 41, is being treated at Albany Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Police ask anyone with information to call the Albany Police Detective Division at (518) 462-8039.
