‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Stars Comment On Gary King’s Instagram Post About His BravoCon Absence: “He’s Feeling Pretty Bummed” [EXCLUSIVE]

BravoCon is officially in full swing; however, some key players are noticeably absent. Ramona Singer, for one, was cut from the lineup earlier this week over her alleged racist remarks. And before that controversy, Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Gary King was cut after a former production staffer accused him of sexual misconduct.
But King isn’t going out quietly. Just one day before the start of the convention, he posted a photo of himself frolicking in flowers along with hashtags reading, “I was canceled because of a lie” and “world is an ugly place,” among others.
“It’s sad that people will do anything in their power to bring you down,” he wrote in his post. “It’s not about how you fall but how you get up. Luckily for me the fall was into a sea of daisies.”
During the first day of BravoCon, Decider caught up with King’s fellow Sailing Yacht castmates Colin MacRae and Captain Glenn Shephard, as well as Daisy Kelliher, with whom he shared a secret off-camera hookup ahead of last season. Some fans have even speculated that the “sea of daisies” he posted in his photo was a nod to Kelliher — something he chalked up as a “coincidence” in the comments section.
“I have heard about it but I have not seen it,” Kelliher tells us about the post. “I am here to enjoy BravoCon so I’m keeping everything on the outside world out for the moment.”
Shephard, who also shared some support in the comments section with a thumbs-up emoji, explains to Decider, “Gary’s going through a tough time so I liked and commented on it. But I’m not really knowledgable about all that stuff that’s involved in that so I can’t really comment.”
According to MacRae, his co-star is not happy about missing out on BravoCon.
“I feel like Gary’s obviously feeling pretty bummed that he can’t be here,” MacRae says. “That must be pretty hard to have that happen. I think people are looking into [the post] a lot more than probably he’s thinking about it.”
