Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday gift is a Land Rover Defender 130 worth Rs 1.30 crore

One of the most iconic actors of all time, Amitabh Bachchan – the Big B of Bollywood, recently celebrated his birthday on the 11th of October. The actor was seen celebrating his birthday with his close ones, and a few pictures were shared online. Recently, it has been reported that the actor has taken delivery of his new birthday gift, the Land Rover Defender 130. A picture of Big B’s newest SUV being delivered to his home has been shared online.

The picture of Amitabh Bachchan’s new Defender 130 has been shared online by Supercar Club India on their official Instagram page. In the picture captioned, “Big B’s Bigger Drive! @amitabhbachchan got himself a brand-new Land Rover Defender 130,” the actor’s new Defender can be seen strapped on a flatbed trailer. The new SUV was delivered to him at his residence, “Jalsa,” in Juhu, Mumbai.

From the picture shared, we can note that Amitabh Bachchan has chosen the shade of Sedona Red for his new Defender 130. This is the exact same color that Baba Ramdev, the popular Yoga guru and face of the Patanjali FMCG brand, owns. At the moment, the exact list of options chosen by Mr. Bachchan is unknown, but it looks like a well-optioned vehicle.

Land Rover Defender 130

The British SUV manufacturer Land Rover recently launched the Defender 130 – the longest variant of this immensely popular SUV. This behemoth luxury SUV starts at Rs 1.30 crore and goes up to Rs 1.41 crore. From the exterior and interior, the new Defender 130 looks exactly like the other Defender models and even boasts the same wheelbase as the 110 model. However, the main difference is in the overall length of the SUV, which measures 340mm more than the standard 110 model. Unlike the 110, the new 130 is a seven-seater vehicle thanks to the additional length.

In India, Land Rover offers the Defender 130 with two engine options. The first is a 3.0-litre petrol engine (P400) that produces a maximum power of 394 bhp and 550 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the other option for this massive SUV is a 3.0-litre diesel engine (D300) that delivers 296 BHP and 600 Nm of torque. Both engines come paired with mild-hybrid technology and a four-wheel-drive system. Amitabh Bachchan’s Land Rover Defender 130 is powered by the 3.0-litre diesel engine.

Amitabh Bachchan’s new Range Rover LWB

Amitabh Bachchan loves the Land Rover and Range Rover brands. The love affair started when he received a new Range Rover Autobiography LWB back in 2016. The actor used it religiously and recently replaced the old Range Rover with the latest and greatest Range Rover Long wheelbase. The actor paid around Rs 4 crore for his Range Rover, and recently it was spotted at his home.

The veteran actor’s top-of-the-line Range Rover comes powered by a 4.4L P530 engine. This powerplant is capable of producing a maximum power of 434 bhp at 5500 rpm and 700 Nm at 1500 rpm of torque. This variant of the Range Rover comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
