ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Police are investigating after a toddler was shot inside a residence in the city of Albany, police said. The shooting took place around 4 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Lark Drive and Manning Boulevard.
Police were called to Albany Medical Center for a report of a 3-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. According to police, the child was with family inside a residence when a firearm was discharged.
The boy was shot in the upper shoulder. Police said he is alert and conscious.
The investigation remains ongoing.
