Browns QB Deshaun Watson done for the season after shoulder injury

[ad_1]

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a fractured shoulder Sunday and will be sidelined for the rest of season, the team announced Wednesday.

Watson underwent an MRI on Monday for two injuries sustained on different plays in the first half of Sunday’s 33-31 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Imaging on his left ankle revealed a high-ankle sprain. An additional postgame MRI revealed a displaced fracture to the glenoid of his right shoulder.

Team doctors determined that the injury will require surgery and Watson is to be placed on season-ending injured reserve. The team added that a full recovery is expected for the start of the 2024 season.
