Hysterics as bulldog only stares at the dog park: “Watching from afar”

[ad_1]

A video of a dog taking a unique approach to a day at the dog park has left viewers cracking up.

The TikTok clip was posted to the account @gino_theitalianbulldog and has reached over 431,000 views since it was shared on October 25. The caption on the video reads, “How Gino visits the dog park! ‘I’m good watching from afar, dad!'”

This burly Italian bulldog named Gino looks tough, but when it comes to the dog park, he likes observing from behind the fence.

A bulldog named Gino prefers to watch the dog park from the bench outside the fence.

Sounds like Gino has the dog park all figured out. He is still talking and meeting other dogs as they will come over and say hi, but Gino does not have to deal with all the chaos. Plus, whenever he needs a rest, he can plop right into the comfort of his dad’s lap without worrying about another dog coming to bother him.

No one can blame Gino for being scared. There can be some big, loud and energetic dogs at the park, which can be overwhelming to other fur babies.

“So adorable that he’s so excited to go, but just wants to sit and dog watch with his dad,” commented one viewer. Talk about quality bonding!

Another TikTok user pointed out: “Love how he barked then turned back like, ‘You see that dad? I told them!'” Slowly but surely, he will gain confidence to meet them without a fence in between. Until then, Gino is enjoying himself from outside the park.

The Do’s and Don’ts of Dog Parks

Dog owners tend to be divided on whether to bring their pup to a dog park. On one side, owners will say it’s an excellent opportunity for their dog to socialize and exercise. Opposing opinions will state dog parks are filled with aggressive dogs and possible diseases.

Whether you decide to go or not, it’s important to note the do’s and don’ts of dog parks.

The first thing any dog owner should do is make sure their pup is current on vaccinations and that they are at least 4 months old, according to Pet Health Network. You will also want to keep your eyes on your dog at all times. This will allow you to call them over as soon as you notice them getting nervous or agitated.

That leads into the next point that Pet Health Network noted—voice control. It’s important that your dog is trained to come to you when called, as this will help get them away from any scuffles that might occur.
