Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a Wednesday morning crash on the Burlington QEW will keep a Toronto-bound on-ramp to the 403 and 407 closed until roughly 2 p.m.

In a post to X, formerly Twitter, OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said a pickup truck and commercial vehicle collided at 8:30 a.m.

No one was hurt, but the driver in the truck lost control as a result of the crash.

“It ended up going into the side of the fuel saddle tank, rupturing fuel and spilling all over the highway,” he said.

“Clean up is ongoing.”

It’s unclear how much fuel spilled out.

Schmidt said vehicles should be removed and clean up efforts should be done by no later than 2 p.m.
