The 220g milk chocolate egg has eight miniature Celebrations chocolates inside it for a second sweet snack after you’ve eaten the egg.

Shoppers were alerted to the deal after a post was made to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

She said in the post: “Large Celebration Easter Egg £1.99 in Aldi’s. Chaul End lane branch , had loads!”

Commenters said the poster had found a “bargain.”

While a third poster revealed where they had seen a similar price: “£2 each Tesco.”

The chocolate has been reduced by Aldi from £2.99, but the Celebrations egg is also available at other supermarkets.

At Asda the Celebrations egg is selling for £3 online – the same price as Tesco.

Which chocolate is most common in a Celebrations tub?

Charlie Murphy, 28, from North Yorkshire, splashed the cash on eight tubs and counted which chocolate was the most common.

He shared his findings on X, formerly Twitter, and TikTok, where he is known as @charliemurphy50.

It’s proved to be a big hit, with the footage on TikTok alone notching up more than 179,000 views in just a couple of days.

Charlie, who is a full-time carer for his disabled dad, said that he loves Maltesers, Galaxy and Dairy Milk, but he doesn’t like being left with the Crème Egg, Snickers and Bounty offerings.

In the online footage, he can be seen emptying all the contents from the tub and then going through them.

From the eight tubs that he bought, Charlie revealed that Galaxy and Caramel were the least common, with 46 of each, making an average of six per tub.

The most common chocolate though were Snickers, with Charlie finding at total of 89 in the eight tubs, almost twice the amount of Galaxy chocolates.
