A Mercedes-Benz S-Class pickup truck / ute is not something we’ve seen for the first time. However, it’s certainly rare, and if you find one in a parking lot, like @kenmsaito did, consider yourself lucky.
This S-Class pickup truck was not spotted at a random parking lot though. This is the Daikoku parking area – One of the most famous spots in Japan where car guys regularly hang out.
As you would’ve guessed the S-Class Ute is based on the W221 generation of Mercedes’ flagship sedan. Like the ones we’ve seen before, this one looks quite well made. While the front looks like a regular S-Class, the rear features a wooden loading bay.
Now, it’s unclear as to what’s hiding under the bonnet. The car spotted in St. Petersburg a few years ago was based on an S350 powered by a 3.5-liter V6.
