Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze registered his first goal contribution for 10-man AC Milan as they played out a 2-2 draw away to Lecce in Serie A.

Chukwueze had been out with an injury since the last international break, and only just returned to action for the Rossoneri.

Fresh from beating PSG in the UEFA Champions League, AC Milan took the lead after only 28 minutes when Olivier Giroud turned home a cross from Theo Hernandez from close range.

Chukwueze marked his return with an assist in the 35th minute as he passed the ball to midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, who carried the ball into the penalty box before firing home to put his side two goals up.

Lecce pulled one back in front of their fans through a 66th minute strike from Nicola Sansone following a corner kick.

Three minutes later, the home side levelled matters when Lameck Banda fired home emphatically from inside the box.

Chukwueze lasted 79 minutes on his return before he was replaced by Luka Jovic. The Rossoneri finished the game with ten men after goalscorer Giroud was shown a red card in added time.
