Sedan concept would supplement brand’s electric SUVs.
Rounding out the introductions from Kia’s “EV Day” was a concept that should see production and sale in the US. The EV4 follows the same design and engineering philosophy as the EV3 and EV5 SUVs that debuted at the same event.

Coming Soon: 2025 Kia EV4
This concept is a 4-door hatchback that looks like it shares a few of its lines with the Ioniq 6 produced by Kia’s corporate partner, Hyundai. Both vehicles, as well as the EV3 and EV5, ride on the same E-GMP electric architecture. Like with the EV3, no specifics about the drivetrain were announced, though the company did say that these entry-level vehicles won’t support the ultra-high-speed 800-volt charging system found in the production EV6 and EV9 models. As a cost-cutting measure, we expect the EV4 to be front-drive only with a comparatively small battery pack, which would result in a range of probably no more than 250 miles.
Interior design and features for the EV4 also mimic those of the EV3 with an expansive instrumentation and infotainment display along with many of the fabrics and materials produced from sustainable sources.
Pricing and availability were not announced, but as with the EV3, we would expect the EV4 to become a reality some time in 2025.

CG Says:
We’re glad to see cars will be a part of Kia’s EV product plan. Hopefully the company will retain most of the concept’s styling cues while also allowing it to hit a price point that will make it attractive to drivers who are looking to make the EV transition.
