Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) demands for Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) aren’t stopping in Coronation Street as the killer becomes more determined than ever to make his appeal case a success.
Adam is developing a plan with Harvey to try and prove to the courts he didn’t murder Natasha Blakeman.
The solicitor has only gone to the dark side as a result of Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths). Adam met with Harvey a few months ago and said he’d build an appeal case if the killer got Damon – his mortal enemy – to disappear.
Recently, Adam met with a man called John Perry.
John doesn’t have long left to live following a cancer diagnosis, and told Adam he’s willing to confess to Natasha’s murder.
However, they face a problem soon when Adam discovers CCTV footage of John in a shop when he was supposedly killing Sam’s (Jude Riordan) mum.
Frustrated and aware it’s going to impact things, Harvey instructs him to destroy the footage, which leaves Adam in despair.
Later in the week, a family liason officer pops by the flat and informs Nick (Ben Price) that another man has come forward claiming that he killed Natasha and Harvey is planning an appeal.
When Nick and Leanne (Jane Danson) tell Sarah (Tina O’Brien) and Damon about Harvey’s update, Damon reckons that his brother must be paying someone to carry the can.

Determined to get to the bottom of things, Nick tells Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown), about Harvey’s appeal and how worried he is for Sam’s sake.
After gathering information from Nick, Dee-Dee returns to the office and, looking Adam straight in the eye, asks him if he’s working on Harvey’s appeal.
