Dartz Is Making A Modern LM002 Based On The Lamborghini Urus For $2.7M

[ad_1]

Dartz is gearing up to bless the world with yet another oversized and macho-looking SUV: the Prombron Iron Diamond CLV. This newest version of the dictator-approved Prombron maintains the sharp-edged design of its predecessors but now boasts a foundation borrowed from the Lamborghini Urus, all while flaunting a jaw-dropping price tag of €2.5 million ($2.72 million).

According to Dartz, the SUV emerged from a grand vision “to fuse the brute force of the Lamborghini LM002 with the sleek refinement of contemporary engineering.” Within this framework, the new Prombron supposedly merges the “heart-pounding performance of a sports car, the robust endurance of a military tank, and the polished luxury of a Lamborghini Urus.”

That’s a lot of stuff to take in folks, but hang in there with us for just a little while longer.

Wait, What?

The press release implies that the images shared depict the new Lamborghini-based Prombron Iron Diamond. However, upon closer inspection, the model captured in Cote d’Azur and the Alps appears identical to the original Prombron, which has been in existence since the early 2010s. This is further confirmed by the metadata stored within the photo files, indicating that the Alps photoshoot occurred in 2011.

While the proportions of the Prombron are way off, Dartz might adopt a similar design approach for the high-riding Lamborghini while maintaining the chassis and key components. If the company manages to transform the Urus into a Prombron, the SUV would likely inherit the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, which can produce up to 657 horsepower (490 kW / 666 PS) in its stock configuration.

As a reminder, previous Dartz models, which served as the vehicles of choice for Baron Cohen’s General Aladeen character in the 2012 film ‘The Dictator’, were based on the Hummer H2 and the Mercedes-Benz GLS.

Dartz has yet to reveal renderings of the interior but has promised that it will unveil “a world of unparalleled opulence and exclusivity.” Based on the legacy of the Latvian brand, we wouldn’t be surprised if the cabin of the new Prombron boasts luxurious materials such as precious metals and leather derived from exotic animal skins, diverging from the vegan and sustainable material trends embraced by major automakers.

Thankfully, for those familiar with Dartz, it’s expected to be a haven devoid of… shall we say…certain controversial whale parts.

We don’t know if anyone will seriously be willing to part ways with €2.5 million (about $2.72 million at current exchange rates) for a Lamborghini-based Dartz, but whoever does will likely fund the development of the model. With this kind of capital at stake, the new Dartz Prombron Iron Diamond CLV is poised to become if not the, one of the most expensive SUV in the world, putting it in the vicinity of Bugatti territory.
