Deadly pedestrian crash closes lanes on 101 Freeway in Hollywood

A deadly crash involving a pedestrian left all northbound lanes temporarily closed on the 101 Freeway through Hollywood Wednesday morning.
The incident was reported shortly after midnight near Wilton Place, according to the California Highway Patrol’s incident log.
Investigators determined that the pedestrian was in the lanes of traffic when struck by the vehicle.
The victim’s identity has not been released and it was unclear why the person was on the freeway.
A Sigalert was issued for the closure of all northbound lanes, which have since reopened.
No arrests were initially made in connection with the incident.
