Destiny 2 Announces Big Changes to Brave Weapons for Into The Light Event

[ad_1]

In response to player feedback, Bungie announces a few changes to the Brave weapons coming to the Destiny 2 Into the Light event.

Responding to fan feedback over the slow rollout of all 12 Brave Weapons for Destiny 2 Into the Light, Bungie announces changes to its release plan and a few other gameplay related tweaks. As Season of the Wish rolls on, all eyes have turned to a unique new event coming to Destiny 2 called Into The Light. Over the past couple of weeks, Bungie has given fans a good look at what they can expect from this event once it launches on April 9.

In addition to a new Horde style game mode called Onslaught, where a fireteam of three attempt to defend the Last City from waves of enemies like the Fallen and Hive, Bungie has also confirmed the return of numerous fan favorite weapons into a new collection called the BRAVE Arsenal. The set of 12 weapons includes returning favorites like the powerful SMG Recluse, Hammerhead Machine Gun, and Blast Furnace pulse rifle to name a few. Fans will even be able to unlock a special set of curated armor that takes inspiration from the very beginning of Destiny 2. However, it seems there was one element that fans weren’t too happy about, something which Bungie has decided to reverse course on.

With 12 BRAVE weapons in total to unlock in Destiny 2, the original plan set in motion by Bungie was to slowly roll them out over the course of multiple weeks. With 6 to earn at launch, the remaining 6 would appear slowly throughout April and through May 21, which fans were not thrilled about. However, based on that fan feedback, the Destiny 2 Team account revealed that the studio was changing that decision to instead release all 12 weapons by April 30, condensing the schedule and teasing that the second half of the event would also feature more content for players to look forward to.

Additional Destiny 2 Into The Light Details

While that change will no doubt please fans, additional details were clarified regarding the Destiny 2 Into the Light event, including the fact that the weapon drop rates are planned to be the highest the game has seen since Season of Opulence, ensuring that all types of players will be able to earn at least one of the special and limited edition variant weapons. In addition, all 12 BRAVE weapons can continue to be farmed after Into the Light comes to an end, as Bungie is planning to move Onslaught to a dedicated node from the Destiny 2 Director under the Vanguard Ops section of the menu. Once The Final Shape launches in June for Destiny 2, players will also be able to enhance these perks, making these weapons even stronger.

Next week, Bungie is set to reveal the third and final developer livestream, promising even more content coming to Destiny 2. While the full details of the event aren’t know, Bungie teased out some of the things it’ll be discussing including the return of two exotic missions, a look at the previously confirmed Destiny 2 PvP Crucible maps launching in May, a new PvE challenge called Pantheon, and more.
