Their luxury accommodation consists of a pod design utilised across the UK in hotels, resorts, and estates.

The pod manufacturer aims to increase production and provide employment opportunities to local community at new factory.

A recent launch of a larger accommodation unit required a move to a larger manufacturing space.

Armadilla aims to reduce waste and maximise production with a streamlined manufacturing system.

Managing Director Ross Hunter said: “Our old factory presented several layout restrictions. Here we have a blank canvas, so we have placed every piece of machinery in the right place to increase production effectively and fulfil our growing order book.

“These larger premises have allowed us to introduce new large products that fulfil the demands of the hospitality market.

“Besides, Midlothian is blessed with a vibrant and skilled population that has allowed Armadilla to grow.”

The manufacturer hopes to provide employment opportunities to the Mayfield community and contribute to the local economy.
