A fog advisory is still in effect for Hamilton, Niagara, Burlington, Brantford and Haldimand as current conditions may lead to “near zero visibility” according to Environment Canada.
The national weather agency said Wednesday visibility is expected to improve in most areas this morning, but patches of fog may still appear throughout the day.
“If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop,” reads the advisory.
Hamilton police posted to X, formerly Twitter, saying drivers should use their fog lights if they have any. Pedestrians should wear reflective clothing, use crosswalks and be aware of their surroundings while walking.
Environment Canada has a continued fog advisory for Hamilton and nearby areas since Dec. 24.
The city’s Wednesday forecast calls for a rainy day with a high of 9 C and low of 6 C.
