Matt Hardy is considering a singles showdown with two of the industry’s biggest stars.

The Broken One talked about Roman Reigns and Kenny Omega during the latest edition of his podcast Extreme Life where he stated that he could have a confrontation with the Tribal Chief and The Cleaner.

I would like to have a one on one with Kenny Omega at some point. I would enjoy it because I’m a big fan of Kenny’s work.

Also, I really enjoy all of Roman Reigns’ work. I would almost say Roman Reigns too. Just to get that out of the way. Those would probably be my answers, Kenny Omega and Roman Reigns. Those would be the two guys I’d love to have a tough singles match with.

During it, he talked about which of his characters, whether Big Money Matt, Immortal Matt Hardy or Broken Matt Hardy, was his favorite.


“The best version of Matt Hardy? Okay, it’s also difficult because I’m going to say that too, in a way. For me personally the best version was Broken Matt. That was my favorite version too. As for the good he did for my career. He did a lot. He made me very horny. He established me. And Jeff and I were back on WWE’s radar.

But I think the best version of me was when I did Matt Hardy Version One because I think that was the first time I really stepped away from the Hardy Boyz and they were like, Wow, this guy can do something on his own. And there was so much creativity, you know, running around in my mind at that moment, and I was in the best shape of my life. I was breaking my ass. He had a young and healthy body, which was very nice. That’s the best version. I think the original, probably Matt Hardy’s first year, Version One.”
